Solutions manual

The online solutions manual is freely accessible. It underscores the importance of systematic problem solving, and the use of free-body diagrams.

Each solution is mirrored by a Python 3 script, that solves the problem using the SymPy symbolic toolbox. The purpose is to advance the problem-solving proficiency of the students, and allow them to analyze larger and more realistic mechanical systems.

Students should bear in mind that the solutions manual only provides suggestions, and that problem-solving skills only develop by attempting to solve problems on one's own.
